Summary: GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Director of Engineering to be part of our Energy group. This position is based out of our Cranberry, PA office.  We are searching for an energetic, outgoing person that has solid technical and management skills as well as client relation skillsets. The job will include the oversight of civil and geotechnical projects, coordinating with other managers on business development activities and developing/growing staff to support project activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: o Oversee geotechnical projects involving investigations of a variety of facilities including, but not limited to: foundations for transmission lines, buildings, bridges, retaining walls, and other structures; designs for natural gas pipelines, and compressor stations; and designs of residual waste landfills and impoundments.   o Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of proposals, budgets, schedules, calculations, specifications and reports, and provide technical training and guidance to less experienced staff.   o Travelling to other offices and to meet with clients and attend project specific meetings on a regular basis. o Managing tasks on multiple projects in accordance with GAI's high standards of project management. o Managing and assisting with the development of scope of services and cost estimates for Geotechnical projects. o Managing and assisting with the development and presentation of qualifications. o Preparing and executing an annual business plan and participating in an annual strategic business planning session.    Qualifications: o Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Geology or Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, advanced degree/training in Business Administration preferred o Twenty years related experience and/or training o Professional Registration is preferred o Must be detail oriented and maintain professionalism at all times. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
