System Support Analyst Senior (Information Security)

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains Role Base Access Control (RBAC) framework, tools, and processes
Reviews access control requests to ensure appropriateness, and support of least privilege
Upgrades development and production systems as needed. Coordinates with other FIS and vendor teams to ensure upgrades are applied correctly without application breakage.
Executes security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing programs.
Researches attempted efforts to compromise security protocol and recommends solutions.
Maintains security systems and administers security policies to control access to systems.
Maintains the company's applicable encryption methods.
Creates information security documentation related to work area and completes requests in accordance with company requirements.
Identifies opportunities and executes plans to improve workflow and understands and quantifies business impacts of those improvements for communication to management.
Interfaces with user community to understand security needs and implements procedures to accommodate them. Ensures that user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security.
Provides status reports on security matters to develop security risk analysis scenarios and response procedures.
Provide 24 x 7 systems support for assigned production-related systems.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of networks technologies (protocols, design concepts, access control)
Knowledge of security technologies (encryption, data protection, design, privilege access, etc)
Knowledge of UK and/or European information security laws, regulations, and best practices
Knowledge of general banking processes and workflows
Proficiency in time management, communications, decision making, presentation and organizational skills
Proficiency in planning, reporting, establishing goals and objectives, standards, priorities and schedules
Basic to intermediate decision-making and problem-solving skills
Basic to intermediate verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization
Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees and/or clients
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree from a Four-Year college or University on computer science preferred or in a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Information Security industry certifications, or pursuit thereof, are preferred.
Intermediate professional role. Moderate skills with high level of proficiency. Develops solutions that require analysis and research. Works on small to large, complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments. Possesses knowledge in a specific business area. Works on one or more projects as a team member or occasionally as a project lead. May coach more junior technical staff. Works under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment. May consult with senior peers on certain projects. Typically requires three (3) or more years of experience. Typically reports to an IT Security Manager.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
