Site IT Support Analyst III

The primary role of the Site IT Support Analyst III (SISA3) is to identify, research, and resolve technical problems. The candidate will document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolutions. This position is located at the Architectural Coatings USCA headquarters in Cranberry Township, PA, where the successful candidate will provide direct IT support to the Architectural Coatings business unit in the US. Working with the Cranberry IT Support staff, the incumbent will provide IT technical support to local and remote Architectural Coatings associates, as well as several remote manufacturing locations. Embracing the understanding and commitment to standardization is critical to the success of this position.
This role must also foster and maintain good relationships with all levels of the organization, from executives to shop floor associates. The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in audience appropriate terms.
Required Qualifications
A 4-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
2 years technical support experience in a computer-related area
Functional/Technical Expertise Necessary
PPG standard desktop, tools & utilities experience
Strong working knowledge of commonly used IT concepts, practices, and procedures in the related field
Intermediate knowledge of infrastructure support components, including:
Server operating systems, tools & utilities
IT networks and voice services
IT security
Process control and monitoring
Call Center technologies
RF Scanner support
Advanced troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with IT purchasing process
Strong verbal communication skills, including the ability to document operations procedures
Strong customer service skills and the ability to deal all types of customer service requests
Advanced analytical, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
Ability to effectively interact with a diverse user base
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with sensitivity safety and physical security
Experience working on Windows OS for clients and servers
Experience managing small to medium projects preferred
Work Environment
Office as well as manufacturing environments
Up to 25% travel may be required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
