Marketing Manager, Product

The Product Manager ? Specialty Products including Adhesives & Sealants, Textures, Restoration and Specialty Paints develops and drives execution of the Specialty product strategies across US, Canada and Puerto Rico. The position will manage product development, the product strategy and product lifecycle management across the category. This includes working closely with R&D and segment and channel marketing teams to establish product line offerings, short & long-term performance measures, assisting in strategic product plan formulation, pricing and execution of tactics to meet plan. Product Manager must possess a strong ability to analyze market place needs, manage the Stage Gate process, and work on product innovation in the category.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Product Strategy - Development of an actionable and ongoing plan for product needs and upgrades based key produce and sales performance by close tracking to identify trends and needs across the category.
Portfolio Performance ? Measure, track, report out performance of the portfolio platform within their category. Use these insights to guide product line strategy, new product development, and business communications.
New Product Development ? Develop a thorough understanding of the product category and precise, actionable plans with R&D support for product development
Competitive landscape - Ownership of the competitive landscape and driving additional research and potential product development against these trends
Innovation ? build a deep understanding of the key customer requirements and identify ways to improve the customer experience. In addition, close monitoring of customer reviews and understanding of how this impacts the category
Project Management - Management of the development, implementation and execution of product launches.
Communication - Interfacing, influencing and driving alignment internally across key stakeholders including the PPG management team, marketing, account and sales team, R&D and other cross functional teams.
REQUIRMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in business, chemistry or related technical field are required. An advanced degree or MBA a plus.
5 years product management experience and/or related experience within sales, technical service or R&D
The successful candidate must have thorough product knowledge, the capacity to work with technical details, project management skills and be able to manage multiple product related projects at one time.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across the organization and customers are required.
They must have knowledge of the market place, the ability to think strategically, and strong business acumen.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
