Production Supervisor- Continuous Operations

This opening is in our Kawneer Cranberry business which is located in Cranberry Twp., PA. We are the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry. Kawneer is part of Arconic?s global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Must be able to work a shift that is 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM rotation (3 nights one week, 4 nights 1 week) including weekends.
The Production Supervisor position is the first level of authority in the Continuous Operations shift providing leadership, coaching and clear direction to ensure people are working safely, meeting customer demand, quality, solving problems, eliminating waste, and meeting goals. This position is for a third shift role. Under the direction of the Operations Building Manager, this position is accountable for the following activities:
Lead by example, specifically with regard to the Arconic Values, EHS and ABS;
Ensure the safety and health of the employees
Supervise to support achievement of all departmental goals in alignment with the plant business case (e.g. IFE, TRR, DART, Human Performance, OTIF, WCR, Operational Productivity, Labor efficiency, OEE, Inventory, Budget, Quality, etc.);
Support ABS actions established for the ABS department together with the Building manager;
Engage employees in department initiatives;
Support implementation of policies and procedures and recommend improvements in working conditions;
Support the area managers on employee?s performance reviews and disciplinary action when appropriate;
Responsible for problem analysis and resolution showing improved process optimization;
Guarantee and follow-up on investigations of scraps with the quality department;
Responsible to guarantee the integrity of the system transactions on JDE;
Other duties as needed to meet business objectives;
Implement, maintain and improve processes that will prevent EHS incidents;
Communicate and follow up with area managers on daily/weekly/monthly requirements;
Communicate with other production and support departments (Quality, Engineering, PC, ABS, etc.);
Review production schedules, staffing requirements and make decisions in order to guarantee the productivity of the area during the shift.
Basic Requirements
High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience
Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
