Data Scientist ? Performance Center
Omnicell has an exciting opportunity for an individual to help our clients optimize their pharmacy supply chain as part of Omnicell's Performance Center offering. The individual is responsible for researching, developing and delivering expert analytics in the area of the pharmacy supply chain utilizing Data Science, Machine Learning, and statistical analysis within Omnicell's Performance Center.
To accomplish this, the Data Scientist must be an experienced, motivated individual with a proven record of delivering valuable analytics that can be extended into the pharmacy.
The individual will work within our team of technical and domain experts at our regional headquarters located in Cranberry Township, PA. This resource will report to the Senior Performance Center Analytics Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and Development: Research, design, and develop analytical solutions utilizing Machine Learning techniques and statistical analysis;
Business Insight: Utilizing diverse datasets, identify market opportunities for optimization and cost savings;
Data Exploration: Mine through large quantities of data to identify new insights and trends.
Collect, Clean, and Prepare Data: Identify new potential data sources, develop a strategy for collecting the data, clean existing data, and prepare data for Machine Learning systems.
Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
Strong oral and written communication skills
Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, and able to multi-task efficiently
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Proficient in applying machine learning techniques such as neural networking, Bayesian method or ensemble learning to develop business solutions
Ability to perform data validation, preparation and investigation using advanced analytics tool to generate business insights
Proficient in using analytical programming languages SAS/R/Python/Scala
Ability to work within a dynamic environment, delivering on requirements and deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively at multiple levels of the organizations both internally and externally.
Infinitely curious and demonstrable creativity
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or Engineering
4 years of experience in software engineering
2 years of hands on experience with statistical programming using R/SAS/Python/Scala and Machine Learning
Preferred Requirements:
Master Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or Engineering
5 years of experience with R/SAS/Python/Scala and/or Machine Learning
Working knowledge of pharmacy operations
Work Conditions:
Travel: Minimal: Up to 10%

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
